Through the study of living books and excellent writing, we guide students in developing their writing skills by focusing on written narration, imitating great writers, fostering critical thinking skills, and a deep appreciation for language and written communication.

• Classic and challenging works by great authors
• Occasional copywork and dictation
• Discussion and collaboration between students
• Development of critical thinking skills through writing
• Individualized feedback on writing assignments
• Keeping a commonplace book (for Introduction to Composition students and above)
